Thought I'd post a wee update on the update of the Icarus campaign Narrative.....

Spot of Sunday W.I.P
Recently I've had quite a lot of feedback from the community over on Ammo Bunker which has been fantastic. So, on the back of that I've started putting this guy together;

I wanted to try and capture a sense of motion, as if he is spinning around to attack someone/something behind with the stormbolter and then follow up with a sweeping sword attack.

Rise and Rise Again: The Flight of Icarus
As I touched on in an earlier post, I'm a fan of Dark Heresy and had a reasonable campaign run.
The thing about GMing I liked was the ability to go on mad tangeants; don't like this part of the mission/adventure? Cool, throw your own thing in there. Don't quite feel that story arc is over? Great! Keep it going?
So its with this mind set I want to put together a continuation of Inquisitor Corvidae's story. I want to know if he finally unravels the Serrated Query, I want to discover what Cell Corvidae uncovered and more importantly , what happens next?
With this in mind I've started putting this togather, this extremely early stages but puts conceptualisations to paper. So to speak;

Project Log, Well, Sort of...
Greetings,
I'm going to attempt to run a project log over on Ammo Bunker. For a while its going to pretty retrospective until I have everything caught up. But i hope it will at least inspire some and I hope to get some feedback as well.
As with my previous model post I'll be putting focus on specific models with some narrative on here.

Bloth; The Returned
I recently stumbled across a post on Ammo Bunker and unusually felt compelled to actually join in and that content is the main focus of this entry.
Welcome, Bloth 'the returned'

Bloth was part of an archeotech salvage crew. For many years he did this until one fateful run saw him and his crew crashing through a rotting layer flooring leaving them stranded, in the Sump. Over the following decades slowly but surely the Sump and it's denizens picked the crew off one by one until only Bloth remained.
Always considered a somewhat slow and gentle giant Bloth was not a violent man. Nor was he considered to be proficient in any area of combat. Many years of being hunted through toxic wastes by shadows and 'things' beyond his simple understanding however, changed this. Dramatically.
As the radiation and aggressive chemical wastes started to feed off Bloth so to did they begin to change him. His flesh began to alter, and fuse with his gear. As the environment had ruined his flesh so to did his equipment suffer a rapid entropy. With the lack of effective respiration and air free of heavy toxins, the chemical vapours soon started to alter Bloth's psyche;
Prey became predator.
Many many years later Bloth resurfaced, unrecognisable and with a thirst and hunger wholly unquenchable his rage was unleashed. All the convoluted and confused emotions of seeing his friends torn limb from limb, the constant fear for his life and the intense lust for revenge came to the fore.
Bloth incinerated an entire dive bar and it's occupants before he was restrained. This act was witnessed by Slaver; who had a healthy investment in the Gladiatorial pits, made every effort to ensure Bloth fell into his possession and so he did.
After being suitably 'modified' for arena life Bloth became an instant sensation. Powered by pure unadulterated rage and desire for vengeance Bloth's killing proficiency knew few limits.
A few short years later and Bloth's indentured tenure was cut short by way of one Inquisitor Corvidae. Investigating a trail of prohibited Xenos artifacts and weaponry Corvidae was lead to the fighting pits and Bloth's master.
Master 4 Chrons had been trading with the Serrated Query in Xenos weaponry, a more exotic death meant more spectacle which in turn meant more profit for 4 Chrons.
Before Corvidae had finished dealing with 4 Chrons and his lackeys, 4 Chrons triggered Bloth. Not wanting to unnecessary deaths on his hands, Corvidae destroyed the chrono and control cogitator attached to Bloth's skull. This sent the giant crashing to the ground.
Once Corvidae had dealt with his oppressors he worked on salvaging Bloth's mind. While not entirely successful, Corvidae managed to reconstruct and rescue enough to give Bloth consciousness and restore some of his happier memories.
Now Bloth serves Inquisitor Corvidae unconditionally. With a loyalty that will never be questioned nor waver, Bloth serves. Bloth is an effective instrument, albeit one of blunt trauma, and has been an integral part of several of Corvidae's investigations.

Dark Heresy Musings....
Feeling moderately inspired by creating this humble blog I decided to collate some of the Narrative texts I put together for my DH group. As such I figured I'd share this here for others to hopefully enjoy also. I hope this inspires your campaigns and at least is an entertaining read......

Old Half Face's Crew
The imagery of the gang has slightly 'evolved' from the initial inception.
My original idea was to have an 'undercover' Inquisitorial cell, posing as an Underhive bike gang. Now due to the miniscule success of the gang in the opening games this lead my narrative intuition to deduce the gang would expand. Now it's quite safe to say that Inquisitor Corvidae is not a puritan. With this in mind I was quite taken with the idea of exiled xenos lurking in the Sump or possibly duking it out in Areanas and the Gladiatorial pits.
Following this train of thought and on the back of certain elements I had used previously in my DH campaigns, I've created some exiled Dark Eldar. I like to entertain the notion that these guys have somehow displeased their Kabal\masters in Commoragh and have ended up in the Gladiatorial pits of the Underhive, I believe this would be feasible due to the nature of the Dark Eldar and by extension this in turn would keep them juevenant.
As for how these individuals ended up in the service of an Imperial Inquisitor, again I relate back to a theme from DH. A hook I implemented was that a particular infamous harmoculous and head of a revered coven had forged an allegiance with the Serrated Query and by extension the ruinious powers. This in turn would lead to the particular Dark Eldar being exiled. Again, on the back of this, the exiles are painfully aware of the circumstances surrounding their banishment and as such have devoted their years to revenge against their persecutors and the Serrated Query. This is a common goal for both the exiles and Inquisitor Corvidae.
